It would slightly advantage some sorts of weapons, perhaps making them more attractive, and eliminate instances where you have range band overlap. Basically In Range is half max range like it already is, and Point Blank is half again besides. That I use the words "rounded down" three times in there makes me wonder if I got a visit from the Good Idea Fairy(tm), but you get the point. If that was the case, I would postulate that it would be 25% of max range, giving us something like this: In a hypothetical V3, how would you feel about "Point Blank" becoming a function of range band in the same way as Long Range and Not Long Range are? It also means that anything that shoots out to 12" (SMGs, PIAT, Faust) is only ever Long Range or Point Blank (-1 or +1). That's fine but does invoke a little bit of wonk with weapons that shoot out to 6" (pistols, infantry flamethrowers) being both Long Range and Point Blank at the same time (net +0 always). Right now we just have Long Range (over 50% of max range), Not Long Range (>6", <50% max range), and Point Blank (fixed 6"). /r/MiniPainting - Best place to learn and show off those skills!./r/Miniswap - Looking to trade some models?
